Maxine is making a mark in the women’s footwear space with her eponymous line of design, offering modern feminine shoes. She founded the brand with the clear objective of offering luxury, designer classics to modern women valuing sustainability. Her focus lies on bringing the highest level of design and craftsmanship, while slowing the fashion cycle and leading the way for socially conscious businesses.
Since the brands launch at London Fashion Week in 2018, Maxine has been a part of the British Fashion Council’s Positive Fashion Initiative. She has also presented collections at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks; her focus remains on serving her customers directly via her online store and exclusive pop-up stores.
Maxine Shoes has become synonymous with modern, elegant designs, offering styles to hero a classic wardrobe, most recently through a collaboration with the accessory power duo &Finally, Anna Vitiello and Florrie Thomas. This 90s inspired capsule collection has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Cosmopolitan and has been seen on Charlotte Leah Collins, Bettina Looney and Millie Mackintosh to name a few. The Sabi sandal has become a Summer staple and is now available in additional colours.
Maxine works closely with a team of artisan shoemakers in Italy, utilising sustainably sourced Italian materials aiming to develop a new kind of luxury. The core collection focuses on the timeless wardrobe, where modern minimalism takes centre stage with sleek textures, architectural silhouettes and refined details. Strong and elegant, Maxine finds empowerment in essential shapes and tonal hues that form the basis of a classic wardrobe. Maxine Girls are energised by designs they can invest in now and wear forever.
Maxine’s background in design and production have let her start a small and organically growing business, which is family owned and operated. After starting her career alongside Marc Jacobs in New York, Maxine moved back to London for a post grad business degree and the launch of her label.
Maxine’s abiding ambition is to create shoes which reflect the generation of successful, powerful and inspirational women that she sees all around her. Her designs have caught the eye of many top tier publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Marie Claire, The Telegraph,
ES Magazine and Sunday Times Style to name a few.
Maxine’s considered range of footwear lauds the bold and empowered woman, yet retains an innate sense of femininity. From her London-based studio, Maxine sources the finest materials from Italy and couples both her technical and creative skills to consistently challenge convention.
